taxidermy

Taxidermy is a wonderful way to preserve the connection to the animal and to celebrate the challenges of the hunt.

Dwayne, Bear Creek Sports' in-house taxidermist

The hunt may be over but there will always be a great unity with the animal and the resources it provides us.

At Bear Creek Sports we respect our hunters using the meat for food and saving the skin and fur for trophies. Perhaps taxidermy is the best way to show appreciation to that which has provided us with rushing adrenalin, personal fulfillment and life sustaining food.

Dwayne is passionate about his work and always creates an animal looking as majestic on your wall as when you first spotted it in the forest. In fact his final product is so magnificent and life-like that you just may want to hunt it all over again.

Dwayne takes great care to beautifully capture the animal it all in its glory. His creations are an artful expression that preserve the spirit of the animal and the recall of the hunt.
Dwayne, Bear Creek Sports' firearms safety instructor

Dwayne is also the firearms safety instructor at Bear Creek Sports and a hunting enthusiast. He has great passion and respect for the challenges of the hunt and this is reflected in his work. He offers the best of himself and his fine skills as he prepares your final piece. His clients come from all over and travel miles out of their way to bring their animal to Kelowna for his superior skills.

Bear Creek Sports is very thankful to have Dwayne here not only for his good vibe and as a fabulous instructor for the P.A.L. courses, but also as our resident Taxidermist who takes great pleasure in helping you to preserve your moment of victory.
